The questions start off fairly easily with the large square divided into a 5×5 grid of squares. Using this base square, the students should be able to work through the remaining questions. The latter questions do become quite challenging.
I have found that students in Year 7 can tackle these questions with relative ease, although some of the latter questions do post some thoughtful discussions.
Some students may need some help in linking the first question with the rest of the questions. Once they have associated the 5×5 grid from the first question with the remainder of the questions then students can usually finish the sheet in about 20 minutes.
